The SWI-ALP allows the customer to retain the use of their steering wheel or rear seat radio controls when replacing the factory head unit. Works with Alpine's OEM Steering Remote Ready radios. The SWI-ALP also retains the use of heater control buttons on GM vehicles. The SWI-ALP features just can't be beat...
• The SWI-ALP is so universal that you only need one SKU# to cover over 95% of the vehicles made from 1986 to current. New vehicles coming out every year? No problem! Never be stuck with a vehicle specific type interface.
• Assigned the buttons on the steering wheel to any of the 8 specific Pioneer functions. Volume Up, Volume Down, Mute, Track Up, Track Down, Preset Up, Preset Down and Band
• The SWI-ALP has non-volatile memory which keeps all programming in memory even if the vehicle battery is disconnected.
• The SWI-ALP not only covers Ford, GM or Chrysler/Dodge but also it covers Acura, Audi, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chysler, GMC, Honda, Hummer, Infiniti, Isuzu, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercury, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saab, Toyota and Volkswagan. Oh, did we also say it covers Harley Davidson motor cycles?
Current 2005 radios from Alpine that are Steering Remote Control Ready: CDA-9851, CDA-9853, CDA-9855, DVA-9965, DVA-9860. Also works on CDA-D853, CDA-D855, CDA-D857 DIN 1/2 stereos.
Voici le DIY :
